Once upon a time a boy looked into the eyes of a beautiful browned eyed girl and said "Beth. . .you are the most socially awkward person I know"
Beth gazed with utter astonishment into the blue eyes of the boy and responded, very sweetly,. . ."Look who's talking".
Prompted by the compliment the boy so condescendingly bestowed, Beth felt she should strive and live up to this new 'title'.
And Yet!!! Is this enough??? What shall Beth do with this newly discovered talent?? It must be put to good use.
One day, while stalking boys on facebook, Beth found the solution to her problem, an inspiring quote:
' I don't need to flirt, I will SEDUCE you with my AWKWARDNESS.' Brilliant!!
Here's the Plan: Beth goes to every YSA activity she can find. Then she flirts with Random boys. Perhaps some will be intimidated but she won't let that discourage her. If Beth is not Married or Engaged by her 30th Birthday she solomnly promises to kiss the first boy she meets at Red Lobster. On her birthday.

Last Summer I had the time of my life with two guys, Douglas and Marshall (see above picture). We went to dances together, camping, a YSA conference in Palmyra NY, Washington DC, and Hershey Park in the dark. Basically the best summer of my entire life. And I fell in love. twice.
Marshy Marshall:
Beth: 'Marshall do you think I'm hot?'
Marshall: 'ummmm. . . .'
B- 'You can be honest'
M- 'ummmmm'
B- 'you don't think I'm hot!!!???"
M- ' ummm. . .(thinking,thinking thinking ah ha! )- my aunt says you have the body of a goddess!!'

Marshall and I met last summer. He is an incredibly sweet kind amazing guy with a sincere and open heart. And he is really tall and cute. So,of course, I fell madly in love with him. So much so that Marshall would start every other conversation by saying "Beth, you know I really like you but I just don't like you like THAT" To which I would respond "But I am IN LOVE WITH YOU!!!' Can't we get married? please?????

Well girls I finally got him to committ. As of last Tuesday Marshall and I are officially engaged. MEANING that when he is 27 and I am 34 we are going to get married provided we are not married to other people.

I have to take what I can get!

But now that I think about it I don't think I am ready for that kind of committment. . . engagements are kind of a big deal. and he is a little young for me.
Solution!  I will find someone to marry before I am 34.

Dunkin' Douglas:
Beth: Doug you are amazing!
Doug: uh. . .thanks?
B:and when you smile. . .
D: not again. . . .
B: the whole world stops and stares for awhile
D: can't you think of of a different song??
B: because you are amazing! just the way you are!

Doug doesn't like to be complimented. Compliments annoy him. As soon as I found this out I looked for every possible chance to tell him he is amazing. It is easy. First of all he is amazing. He is kind and has a good heart. 2nd of all I have no problems telling someone who is amazing when they are amazing. I wish he would tell me I am amazing! Unfortunately his nickname for me is 'Wiper'. (everytime I see him ,after I say he is  amazing, I wipe his arm with my hand). Dougs propblem is that too many girls think he is amazing. He asks them out and the girl wants to marry him. Who does THAT?

On NYE he asked me out on a date! Just as soon as he returns from school in July we are going OUT. Sooo excited!!!!

I better pick out my colors and send the invites because I think this is getting prestty serious.

Honestly is there any thing socially awkward about my behavior here?? I don't think so. What think you?
